研究方向
以海洋微生物为研究对象,以海洋微生物活性次级代谢产物的生物学功能及其形成机制为拟解决的关键科学问题。
研究工作
  主要从事热带海洋微生物来源活性物质的发现和代谢机制研究工作。从热带海洋微生物中筛选发现了具有抗感染、抗肿瘤等活性小分子800余个,开发了海洋微生物的组合生物合成和异源表达技术,阐明了18种特征活性代谢产物的生物合成和代谢机制,揭示了26种新颖生物合成酶的催化功能,筛选出3个自主产权的抗结核杆菌感染、抗胶质瘤和抗白血病候选海洋药物,其中1个正在进行系统临床前研究。在PNAS, Nature Communications, Journal of the American Chemical Society, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, Nature Chemical Biology, Organic Leters.等学术刊物发表SCI论文110篇,论文被SCI引用超过3300次,多篇论文被Nature Chemical Biology, Faculty of 1000和Science-Perspectives等作为研究亮点评述,被自然指数中国增刊评为2014年广州个体科研产出领先者,成果入选 “中国海洋与湖沼学会” 2017年十大科技进展,获授权专利19项。
